A Four Fold Philosophy
Inspiration
In a forest of fern, sunlight pulls upward, a bonnet of blue flowers, left breathless from a morning of unfolding.
Sacrifice
From the fields, the old hands take every third flower…every third red, every third yellow, every third pink. Leaving rows of color to linger in their rightful soil, to see the next generation of beauty offer itself up for the taking.
Focus
They come in bundles…ten bundles of red, five bundles of white; each flower confronted with its likeness. Details rush into focus, the subtlety of color, and the distinction of line.
Creation
Cool water encloses its gentle fist around the frame of each flower. Orange poppies stretch their curled stems high above the glass, yellow ranunculus spill sideways above white lilac, fragrant and warm.
