Cammie
Growing up around this country and Europe Cammie’s most vivid memories of childhood are the fields of tulips in Holland. “They stretched for miles, as far as I could see from the back seat of my family’s yellow Mini. I was mesmerized. I couldn’t believe anything could be so beautiful.” For Cammie, the art of floral design is not really in the designer’s hands so much as in the flowers themselves. “It’s really about honoring the natural curve, the unexpected juxtaposition of color, the beauty in the mundane. Design shouldn’t speak about the designer but rather it should allow the medium to speak for itself.”
Steffie
Early on Stephanie developed a love of color and texture. After studying and earning two degrees, first in fashion merchandising and second in textile products marketing she fine tuned her natural creative skills and deepened her love of color, pattern, construction, feel, and design.
Looking to be closer to her family and to pursue new career opportunities, Steffie moved from North Carolina to Virginia. In planning her wedding, she met Cammie and something really clicked. She thought “This is it! This should be my next venture in design.” It was a perfect fit – color and texture meet living, breathing organisms. And so it was. “This is the kind of work that feeds the soul!”
